Anniversary trip

This is a little late, but I just remembered these pics from our anniversary trip. Here's to 6 years of amazing, crazy, wedded bliss!

First things first. As if most of you didn't know, here is how to make a delicious and completely necessary camping treat.
Hershey's chocolate

Honey Grahams

Jet Puffed

Toasted Golden

Enjoy!

Is it in you? to go canoing in a crystal clear spring running into a gorgeous river?

To risk your life paddling thru a vulture infested swamp? (look closely in the trees, there were too many to count. They seriously were on both sides of us and completely inhabiting an entire island.)

At some point you have to tip your canoe (it is required for any professional canoer when they are banked on the side of the river.) You have to be adjusting your position on the bank of the river and have your partner rock the boat, then all you have to do is over-correct the rocking and there you have it, a canoe full of water and a broken flip flop (not to mention a sore butt from hitting the side of the canoe on your way into the water.) ps. russ said my new indian name is Tip-a-canoe.

check out the turtle...sunbathing and gazing at herself in the reflection

Oh, and a cute little mommy turtle with her baby!

If you look closely you can see a cardinal on the side mirror. He flew up there frequently to look at himself in the mirror. He even flew up there when I was sitting in the drivers seat and nearly scared me to DEATH!! (just ask Russ, my scream was LOUD!)

This is called Catfish Hotel. It is a pond made from a sink hole. It is 90 feet deep...and only scuba divers can go in the water. It is completely covered by green stuff. It is said that very large catfish live down at the bottom. Interesting.

Manatee Springs is beautiful. The cypress trees and knees reflect in the clear blue spring! The picture definitely does not do it justice.

ps. If you are looking for your friend Gil in Chiefland, FL, you can find him down that-a-way along with the Clarks or the Watsons.

Talk about an exotic trip--that looks incredible. And so do you, I might add. I love the way you write so creatively with your fonts and everything. I just may swipe your idea:) Congratulations on your very happy 6 years together!

Great photos and write-up. Looks like Mr. Russell was in his domain on that trip. :)

You guys look like you had a good time despite the canoe tipping exercise.
