And, I welcome your opinions about the fabric swatches. You may or may not like them. But if you do like one or two, which ones are they? What are your thoughts?

Ok Becca here's what I think. You HAVE TO use more than one fabric and you absolutely do not have to do this in a patchwork style. Florals, stripes, smaller florals etc.. all go together as long as the colors go (not match but go..you know..)I know you don't want a too babyish room, but rather a room she can grow into. Here's how I would go about it. A large scale floral, with a small scale floral, stripes and something geometric. I think this is the perfect formula. So for instance, the bumper can be a floral on one side and a stripe on the other. The bedskirt can be solid with a border using one of the colors in the bumper (there's you geometric) maybe you can add piping to the bumper the same color as the border on the bedskirt. As far as wall color I think white furniture needs a color to pop off of and honestly any color you choose will do. Just remember though, yellow, (one of my favorite colors btw)is not the most calming color for babies..at least that's what I've heard.I love all the swatches you chose and I think whatever you choose will be beautiful. You can use up to 3 or 4 different patterns and you can even add a quirky one as a lumbar pillow for your rocker. Hope this helps a little. I can't wait to see this nursery. Come over and we'll sew together..Isabelle's room is getting redecorated (already! and she's only 2 months)

Amen to the longest comment but she does have good advice about doing the room so she can grow into it. My first nursery was all sky, moon and stars as you know. We are doing our new nursery green so they can grow into it. Like a forest or trees and stuff can be painted on the walls in the future. I like the first swatch in the new batch the best. But hey I am not a florally person. I like the plaids, stripes and ginghams, not flowers. Not much of a girly girl. Keep it simple and cute. You don't have to do a ton of work to make the room look nice. Just remember too much work causes too much unneeded stress.
I agree with gmcapson about the unneeded stress. It seems you may be putting too much thought into this. I am sort of a minimalist. I went with my gut and it told me I liked the first swatch best. I would probably choose that. And maybe add some yellow accents in the room. But yeah, my only advice is to keep it simple and not too matchy matchy.
Just like you said, "Due date, shmue date," I say, "Fabric shmabric." Of the fabrics you just posted, I like the purply pink paisley. And I like Kathy's suggestion of yellow accents.
Sorry for the long post girls, but as you may know a baby for anyone is a huge deal, and for Becca an absolute miracle...definitely don't stress but it's ok to want to make the room really special since you will both be spending alot of time in there.
I second the more than one fabric, but I don't know which combination - I love the large floral print. You could do SO much with that! I would keep it simple at first until your little girl starts expressing an interest, then add on to it.
BTW, I LOVE your baby bump! You look fantastic!

My favorite are the last six. They mix well together and they are bold enough that the baby will probably enjoy looking at them. I am excited to see what you choose.
Becca, here is my opinion! For one, you are over thinking this way too much, but you do about everything. Ha ha. Anyway, the top pink swatch is my favorite. As for a nursery, it is fun to have a cute nursery but are you going to spend all the time and money and then see something that you like more in a year and want to change it all. I guess it doesn't matter if that is what you enjoy doing. As for spending time in there, I think that is a crock! My kids never had a nursery let alone even a crib. They slept with us in our room until they were one and then they moved to a big bed. It was great having the baby with us in bed, I highly recommend co-sleeping! Sometimes it doesn't work but do you really think that you will even us a "nurery" that much? Anyway, I thought I would put my two cents in. Of course I love to come up with cute ideas for my kids bedrooms once they are in them. So it will be great no matter what you decide. Love ya
