I know a lot of bloggers who have clever and witty titles, I however like to reserve my creativity for things like burpies and magnets. Here are some pics of my latest projects, most of which are done with me sitting on my bed with my feet propped up. I just get all my supplies near me and get to "work."
The cutting of fabric for the burp cloths was fun, the sewing took more time than I would have liked and therefore only a couple of them are "fancy." I did cut out a few flowers for one of the burpies thinking I would sew them on. However, after just sewing on a straight piece to one of the burpies I knew I would not want to take the time to do the flowers (maybe I will make some another time and do larger flowers.)
I saw this magnet idea somewhere in the last little while, but have completely forgotten where. All they are are those buttons you buy and put your own fabric on. I had a bunch of plain black magnets and just glued them on the back of the buttons when I was done covering them.
So, there are some of the projects I have done to use up some of my fabric scraps and to beautify my home and soon-to-be baby's spit up.

Cute stuff. I've never heard them called burpies though.
A cute burp cloth really makes the spit not so nasty...because you will be covered in it. You should make a burp cloth shirt. Anyway. Yes! I am really enjoying my transition to cloth diapers. It's really doable and I feel better knowing I don't have to run to the store to grab diapers all the time. I would suggest just starting from day one or shortly thereafter. (Disposables are great for those newborn blowouts.) But the transition took will power because disposables are so easy... but nice, quality cloth diapers are not hard. Good luck.
I love the burp rags! They are so similar to the ones I was planning on making! I love the magnets too, I can't wait to get my hands on somehting like that soon. It was great talking to you, you're a dear dear girl, and you are STRONG, and will do SOOOOO well with your labor, I know. It will be just beautiful--be soo excited. It really was the most important and incredible thing I have ever done.
love you!
Awesome! The burp cloths look fantastic and I'm going to have to copy your magnet idea.
How are you coming on the cloth diaper front? I have a whole stash of little girls newborn diapers if you wanna borrow or try them :)
How much longer do you have now? Just a few weeks, right? I'm so excited for you!
So crafty Becs. I love the magnets, you should make me some and send them to me! Rachel and I are getting ready to send a package to you...I know, you have been waiting "FOREVER", but patience is a virtue! Seeing Rachel and the new baby was amazing, it sure made me super excited for you!
