Russ turns 30!

Russell turned 30!!
I threw a surprise party for him.
It was great except that he was sick for the 5th time since we have been married.
(meaning, he hardly EVER gets sick.)

I had the help of the lovely Geidy and her awesome husband Afu. He had baby duty.

Here is a picture of the room. I borrowed the paper lanterns from Geidy and she helped me decorate. I also used these tissue globes. It was simple and beautiful.

Here is the food. Thanks to D.P. and her AMAZING kitchen. I did all the prep work at her house while she held Eve and then I stored all the food in her extra fridge.
Also, a HUGE thank you to mom for cooking and slaving away all day. I think we cooked about nine hundred egg rolls. Thanks to Diane too for helping with the pigs-in-a-blanket. They didn't go along with the Asian theme, but they were the most popular food item.

This is one of three ice cream cakes that mom made! They were delicious!

Even though he felt sicker than he has felt in a VERY long time, he was still surprised...

I felt bad for the poor guy. He didn't eat a single bite the whole night and he was not around most of the time. But, we still had as good a time as we could. Thanks to everyone who came.

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear he wasn't well! I hope he recovers quickly!

What a fun looking party, and that food looks awesome! I love those tissues globes. My 30th is coming up, do you think it would be a good idea to get some for myself?
LOL
