part four

Good Ol' Mackay!
We camped there as we do every year. We floated the river, played cards, hiked, played badminton, bathed in the river and took care of the babies. This year there were lots of babies...which is a great thing!

Eve was lucky enough to have warm water for her bath. She didn't have to bathe in the river like the rest of us. She got her own special tub.

She did go in the river though! It was really cold, but she enjoyed it.

This is right before we hiked up to Hidden Mouth Cave.

On the way back down she started out alert and awake...

Then started to drift a bit...

Then a drifted a bit more....

And then she's gone.

It's called Hidden Mouth Cave because you cannot see it from the trail head. It is somewhere up on those trees up there.

The mountains were beautiful!

One morning I awoke to a sweet Russ holding this bunch of yellow flowers for me.

We did go to the Custer County Fair and had free B-B-Q sandwiches and looked at all the animals.
