the BUG

I've got a nasty bug.
I think it is from my late Grandma Neilson.

First I heard about the "Free" section on Craigslist. If my grandma had known about it there is no telling what she might have done.
But I will tell you what I did.
I saw this
I called the number about it.
No one had claimed it yet.
My father in law helped me strap it to my car.
It is now patiently waiting at my in-law's house until Russ and I get a place. (SOON!)
I love it. I mean, it was free! Who doesn't love FREE? As Russ says
it was Free-ninety-nine!

And now, let me introduce you to my newest love...

Yes, it is a soup tureen.
Yes, it makes my heart happy,
and yes,
I found it at a garage sale for $2.50.

It does have a platter and a lid and a ladle but they are still wrapped up.

I mean, this thing called my name.
I love it in all it's vintagey, tourquoisish, beautiful funkiness!

At that same garage sale I got a cake stand, a regular ladle, a candlestick (for Chris), a small picture in a frame, and a wooden turtle back rubber thing.
I got all that stuff for just over 8 bucks!

Seriously, I think I have a NASTY bug!!

but I love it.

I have the same bug becs! I am all about free. My favorite is freecycle...it's a yahoo group, you just have to join a group in your area and everything on it is free. I've gotten TONS of toys for taylee on it. It is a wonderful thing!

I just tried leaving a comment and the internet wouldn't work. I am sorry I haven't posted lately or left comments. The "free" connection we were using is not really working lately. I miss the internet and seeing what you are up to. I love you Becs and will call soon.

Hey that isn't too bad of a bug to get from Grandma Neilson. It is great when you can get great stuff for free or really cheap. Especially since everything is getting so freaking expensive. That is a super cute dresser. Can't wait to see it in your new house. (when it happens) Love you guys.

You and Susie Larson are the best garage salers and yes you can't argue with free. I had a dresser like that growing up. Very girly and cute.

Oooh, vintagey goodness! It's beautiful. I want one, lol.

I'm a HUGE fan of Craigslist for SO many reasons. We've benefited from buying (sometimes for free) and selling a lot in the last few years. We need to hit the selling portion again soon here. . .

I think that dresser looks a lot like one of Grandma Larson's :)
