preview

My friend Geidy and I are making some of THE CUTEST dolls ever. The basic pattern is from

But, we have made adjustments, and improvements to fit our tastes and they are so stinkin' cute. Just you wait and see. Here is a tiny preview! And just know, this is only the beginning...they are a work in progress. I just couldn't wait til they were done to tell you about them.

Here are some hair designs. The top left is the original and all the rest are ones that I came up with. They are kinda funky. In a good way.

Here is our work space. Kindof. It extends into the living room floor, the coffee table and the couch. And the kitchen. I mean, my apartment is not big and therefore projects take up most of the space.

Here are the parts to one of the dolls. She has yet to get her legs stuffed, her body and head stuffed and to get arms. And to get a face. But, like I said, this is just the beginning.
Geidy and I love, love, love these dolls. We are making several of them with different hair and skin colors.
Then as we were working, I mentioned that we could just use the body pattern and make different dresses that are interchangeable...kinda like a paper doll, but not paper.
I have all kinds of ideas for these little pretties.
Just you wait and see.

Let me just say that
I am never buying a barbie doll or a bratz doll for Eve or any of my future daughters.

Very cute. I agree with you on the whole Bratz doll. I mean c'mon, no one can really achieve lips that big, so what kind of message are we sending? What next, tweens getting botox?

That is so creative Becca. That is so cool that you have the talent to make your baby dolls. She will treasure them I am sure.

Saw you on Nie's blog. I just had to comment for a few reasons... I love the name Eve. We thought about naming our daughter Eve but our son is named Eli and there isn't any other 3 letter "E" names so we just couldn't have any other kids if we did... ha ha. AND your dolls are ADORABLE!! I am very anti bratz and barbie (for too many reasons to list!). AND my hubby is a computer nerd too!
Long comment... sorry.
Blessings, KN
