Past Due

Geidy and I threw a shower for our friend Andrea.
It was hosted at Kandi's house.
Here are some pictures...

The menu consisted of:
*Bacon wrapped water chestnuts
*Homemade cinnamon rolls
*Ham and pepperjack breakfast casserole
*Fresh Fruit

for dessert:
*Cupcakes

And also, the party favors were mini loaves of the BEST pumpkin bread.

My sister Rachel has made some pretty awesome cakes as seen here and here (just 2 examples.)
She used Royal icing to make butterfly wings and letters for the cake.
She told me to make the icing and then pipe it onto wax paper and let it sit over night, then you can peel the icing off and use it to decorate your cake/cupcakes. It was my first time doing it, and it turned out pretty good. Definitely made the cupcakes look really neat.

Of course I have to throw in a couple pictures of Eve. She and Eliza (who is 10 days younger and a couple inches taller with 4 more teeth) spilled a cup of water and then proceeded to play in it.
So cute!!

The end.
ps. that shower was like 2 or 3 weeks ago...
way past due for posting.

Your shower turned out cute. It looks like you got the frosting to work for you, those cupcakes are darling. I looked at the pictures of your new place, it looks great. And it will be so fun to have a little space in the back so Eve can go out and play. I am excited for you to have something a little bigger that will suit your needs better.

Holy Moly Martha Stewart! You know how to throw a beautiful and classy baby shower! Good job. That is cute that Eve and friend entertained themselves with spilled water. It doesn't take much to make them happy at that age.
