This year our ward had a ward pinewood derby. Anyone who wanted to could make a car and race it. Russ and I worked on our cars all week (sometimes late into the night.)
I did my very own car. I did not add anything to the block of wood they gave me, so it did not look completely like the car I was trying to model it after. Plus, the wheels were out of proportion. But, I think, in my humble opinion, that it turned out pretty good considering that I have never made a Pinewood Derby car and that I did it myself. I was however, not going for speed but rather STYLE!!

Wow, Becca, that looks really cool! I won't guess the kind because you already told me when you started it.
it sorta looks like a robin's egg blue stretch hummer, but I'm guessing it's some kinda 50's classic. Great job.

COOL! That looks like such a fun thing to do together!
Hmm... I'm thinkin' that looks like a... ok!, fine, I won't tell. You already mentioned the model on facebook silly!
Looks good though! I made one for an Elder's quorum activity a few months ago and it definitely didn't look that good.

Russ told me about this when I saw him at church on Sunday- I was hoping you'd be blogging about it! :) Love the car- I'm so impressed!
That is awesome! Good job! You look great modeling the car also!
That's awesome! I love the look of it. Plus the wheels make it look all decked out. Pretty sweet!
It's awesome! I love pinewood derbys and always thought it was so unfair that only the boys got to do it! It looks great.
It's superfly! I'm totally impressed!
