I finally got Eve's room put together. Mostly.
Here are a few snippets.
The bed. I made the pillows and the bedspread and Russ and I made the upholstered bed. I love how it all came together!
This is kinda the ugly corner compared to the other walls. But it is "get-ready central" with the diapers, diaper pale, hair accessories and close to her closet. The bow holder is simply a canvas with ribbons stretched across it. Super easy.
This yellow shelf was originally hung when she had her crib in the room. I thought I would move it when we rearranged with her big bed, but decided it was fine where it was.
The lamp was a hand-me-down from a friend and the table is from Ada (the elderly woman we house sat for and lived with for 3 years when we were first married.)

Here are some frames. The yellow one was a gift, but I made the other two, along with 3 others that are in the room. I used wooden or canvas frames and covered them with paint and scrapbook paper.
Another wall. Two frames on the top shelf were the ones I made. The yellow one on the bottom has yet to be filled, obviously.
Basically how it all looks together. This is the view from the door into the room.
I still kinda want to do something above Eve's bed, thinking of something like this print but don't know if you're supposed to hang stuff above a kid's head.
And here is a new addition to the master bedroom (which happens to be the most neglected room in the house.)
I have been wanting to start a mirror wall for some time now. I have collected mirrors over the last several months. A couple of them were from my m-i-l. One of them is from an antique store, one from IKEA, and some are empty frames that I have had for a long time.
Anyhow, I love how it looks. It is right above our bed and in my opinion, it is cool.

Look at you and your talented little self. Her little room is just darling. I love the yellow you used. And what a cute idea with the mirrors above your bed. You've always been so creative.
Wow, how talented! You guys did a great job! I love how it all turned out. I'll need to get some pointers from you...my kids rooms are extremely plain and not decorated. Hmmm, maybe some day. BTW...if you want to do the 'I am a Child of God' above her bed you could do it in vinyl lettering and stick it right on the wall. That way you don't have to hang anything above her bed. (p.s. the mirror wall is cool)
I love how everything looks--especially that cute, little Eve-sized bed!
Adorable! Love them both. I saw that "I am a Child of God" print the other day too. I think it is so cute. It would look great in her room.
Everything looks great! Love her bed and the pillows are fab!
Your mirror wall looks sweeeeet!
that little bed is sooooo cute!
Both turned out really nice, I love your mirror wall! Great idea, I might have to copy you!!
After I read the other comments I think the vinyl letter thing would be perfect. I had a friend who had a big momogram of her daughters name made and she put that above her bed. There are tons of cute sayings and things that you could choose from!
IT looks fantastic! I love the color scheme and I am still very impressed with the upholstered bed. I'm glad your parents came to visit--I love them!
So cute. Girls are fun huh? All the cute things you get to do. I wouldn't know. But maybe someday if I'm lucky. How's baby boy doing? Lots of love.
I think it looks wonderful! I love the yellows and blues and the prints. You do good work!
Now, any plans for baby boy's room?
love love love love love love it
