Allow me to take you through a portion of my day yesterday.
Fig. 1. A container of whole wheat flour almost empty.
I have never used my wheat grinder, but because it was out on the counter (my friend had borrowed it) and I knew I had some wheat in the pantry, I decided to grind my own wheat.

Fig. 4. Eve loved watching.
Fig. 5. Wheat fresh from the mill.
Fig. 6. Child keeps busy by playing in the sink.
Fig. 7. A nearly full container of FRESH GROUND WHOLE WHEAT.
But, the fun continues...
(if you have time while the baby is sleeping.)
You take 3 kinds of chocolate chips.
Add some sugar, eggs, vanilla, butter, salt, baking soda and flour (some of which you just ground.)
Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes.

Then when the baby wakes up and the husband comes home, they enjoy triple chocolate chip cookies!

wow- that's so cool! I've never seen that type of grinder, so fancy!
My momma has that grinder! It is so good!
Ooh, those cookies look good. Did you know home-ground whole wheat flour stays better if kept in the fridge. I don't really know how long it's supposed to stay good in the cupboard.
UM YUM!!! Make me some!! I need to try and be domestic, but I definitely struggle. :) You are so blasted fabulous!
I blog stalked you from Lance and Nancy's blog, sorry. This is the only other young girl in the Mackay Ward that is kind of related to Lance. Those cookies look great, I think you should bring some when you come to Idaho next year. (just kidding)
mmmmm, good! I need to start grinding and using my wheat too. Thanks for the inspiration.
that pic of eve in the sink was just about the cutest thing ever. oh, and your wheat grinding sounds fantastic! i want one of those things. plus, we must have the details of that cookie recipe. i've never made cookies with wheat flour but it sounds like it would take the guilt right out.
It's so funny for me to see these pictures. I have the same wheat grinder and keep my flour in the exact same type of container! How weird. :)
