Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies

This recipe came from Ada Castle. It was typed on an index card with a type writer...so it must be old. I will tell you all about Ada Castle another day. But, this recipe is called Mrs. Field's Chocolate Chip Cookies. I made this recipe a few weeks ago for the first time and it made a TON of cookies. A TON, I tell you. It called for like 4 sticks of butter (1 lb!) and 6 cups of flour. Holy moly. So, this time I cut the recipe in half and changed it up a bit. I did not have enough of one kind of chocolate chips, so I used three kinds. I also used some of my whole wheat and they turned out really well.

Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies

3/4 C. sugar
2 C. brown sugar
2 sticks butter (1/2lb.)
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 C. flour (I used 1/3 wheat 2/3 white, but will do half and half next time.)
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3 C. Chocolate Chips (I used 1 c. semi-sweet, 1 c. milk choc., 1 c. white choc.)
1 C. nuts (optional)

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cream sugar, brown sugar and butter together. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
3. Sift dry ingredients together.
4. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix until combined.
5. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Form with small ice cream scoop.
6. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

Enjoy!
